The challenge. 

BP’s Sangachal Terminal in Azerbaijan is one of the largest oil and gas terminals in the world. 

Poor performing IR3 flame detectors caused significant safety issues. There were high levels of unwanted alarms. And a lack of the protection needed for this high-stake environment.  

As a critical hub for processing and exporting oil and gas, a reliable flame detection system was needed. One that could keep operations, personnel and assets safe.
