The challenge. 

Operating a fleet of diesel locomotives can be hazardous. The engine compartments are prone to intense heat and fuel leaks. And these issues may result in fire. 

Traditional detection systems struggle to provide reliable early warnings in this high-risk environment.  

A robust flame detection system was needed. One that could rapidly detect any fire. One that would initiate an immediate response. And seamlessly integrate with existing fire suppression systems.
