Essity Case Study

Essity wanted Micropack to install a new flame detection system at their Prudhoe plant, which is their largest site in the UK. This site makes brands such as Velvet, Cushelle and Tork and produces own brand label products for Asda.

We were contracted to carry out flame mapping and we recommended FDS301’s. The two areas we covered are the paper mill yard and pallet storage facility.

Detector Used

A total of 25 FDS301’s were recommended – 17 in the paper yard and 8 in the pallet storage area.

Micropack offered a turnkey service - design, supply, installation and commissioning.

The FDS301 intelligent Visual Flame Detectors and the project was a resounding success. They’re now wanting us to undertake a new project for them in their penthouse area of the plant (using FDS301’s again).
