The Micropack FDS303 is an explosion-proof multi-spectrum IR flame detector. The device delivers superior performance, responding to hydrocarbon liquid fuel and gas fires at long distances.
The FDS303 has been tested by Factory Mutual to detect a hydrocarbon fuel pan fire at 60 m (~ 200 feet) in 5 seconds
About the product
The FDS303 complements the FDS301 and FDS300 Visual Flame Detectors by delivering superior performance in the detection of hydrocarbon fires which are not detectable in the visible spectrum. The FDS303 utilises the latest IR flame detection algorithms to ensure maximum false alarm immunity.

Multi-spectrum IR design delivers long detection distances and enhanced false alarm immunity.
Microprocessor controlled heated optics, maintains operation in harsh weather conditions (snow, ice, condensation).
The FDS301 outputs a live video signal over standard twisted pair cable. The live video provides instant visual verification of fire eliminating the need to send personnel into potentially hazardous situations and reducing the risk of injury. Although the FDS301 transmits live video images, it is not necessary to utilize them as the unit will still be a fully functioning flame detector.
Easy integration using industry standard outputs: Alarm and Fault Relays; 0-20mA; HART®, as standard.
The FDS300 incorporates an advanced optical verification test which ensures the internal and external surfaces of the window are free of obscurants. This test provides peace of mind that the detector is ready to respond in the event of a fire.
